Join us at our 2 hour workshop where we will show you how blocks of colour and simple linework can be used to create a fun and expressive illustration. No artistic experience needed!

Work on a festive, wintery (or downright silly!) design, then learn how to apply this to a mug using underglazes and a simple, but effective block-printing technique. An experienced Decima tutor will be on hand to guide you, help with ideas and answer any questions along the way.

At the end of the class you will have drawings to take away and one or two illustrated mugs ready to be fired and collected from the studio.

The class is designed for adults, however, children under the age of 16 are welcome, but must be accompanied by a ticket paying adult.

Irina Razumovskaya is a Russian-Israeli ceramic sculptor and educator based in London. Her work combines architectural forms with innovative surfaces and glaze.

Inés is Spanish-Filipino industrial designer and bespoke homeware manufacturer based in London, focusing on architectural ceramics and interiors.

In her practice Vicky specialises in creating compositions that find visual balance. She is strongly influenced by her perception of the built environment.

Annette Lindenberg is a German/British ceramicist, whose work focuses on Kurinuki, the Japanese method of hollowing and carving blocks of clay. 

Ruby Elliot is an illustrator, cartoonist and author based in London. She publishes work online and in print under the name Rubyetc. 

Unu Sohn is a ceramic artist based in London. She obtained her MA in Ceramics from the Royal College of Art following a post-baccalaureate at the SAIC Chicago. 

Karlina Mezecka is an artist from Riga,  based in London. Karlina got her BA in ceramics at the Art Academy of Latvia, MA Royal College of Art London. 

Elizabeth Jackson lives and works in London. She graduated in 2021 with an MA in Ceramics & Glass from the RCA.

Eugene graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2016 and the Royal College of Art in 2018. Eugene employs throwing, press moulding, and slip casting techniques. 

In her artistic practice, Joely designs and creates a diverse array of functional and decorative wares, prioritising vibrant surface design and texture.
